About Safer Cycling Oak Bay

Safer Cycling Oak Bay is comprised of residents and users of Oak Bay municipal roads, dedicated to improving cycling and pedestrian conditions. We identify safety hazards and impediments and advise the Municipality of areas requiring remedial action and upgrade. Our goals are to:

  • Promote and encourage recreational and commuter cycling as a valued and respected transportation mode
  • Raise awareness of cycling problem areas in Oak Bay
  • Integrate Oak Bay bicycle policies with adjacent municipalities in Greater Victoria
  • Consult, cooperate and coordinate with community associations and other regional cycling organizations
  • Assist in achieving twin societal goals of health promotion and CO2 emission abatement
  • Have fun!
